Plant Focused Groups

These are groups focused on particular types of plants in the greater Brisbane area.

• QLD Herb Society
  If you have a passion for all things herbs, then this is the group for you.
• Sub-Tropical Fruit Club of Qld Inc
  If you love growing plants which produce fruits or nuts, then consider joining this group.

General Gardening Groups

While BOGI is a great club, there are other free or not-for-profit gardening groups in the Brisbane area which people might be interested in joining; see below:

• Brisbane Local Food
  A very active Brisbane area gardening group using the Ning social network platform.
• Logan Food Gardeners
  A free community social networking site that has been created for the people of Logan and surrounding local government areas. It is a place where you can join the conversations, share your love of food gardening and connect with like-minded people.
• Redland Organic Growers Inc (ROGI)
  ROGI is modeled off the BOGI club. They meet on the first Tuesday of each month at Indigiscapes Runnymede Rd Capalaba from 6.30pm.

• Samford Local Growers
  A very active organic gardening group which meets twice a month on the first and third Sunday between 9am and 11am.

Community gardens often have associated gardening groups as well.
