G20 Garden

Looking for something to do on 1st November?

BOGI has received details about a joint initiative between 4BC and Roma Street Parklands to develop a garden within the parklands in time for the G20 summit. It is envisaged that the garden will be a wonderful and uplifting focus for many visitors and residents of Brisbane.

The garden’s basic shape will be in place by the end of October, and the call is now out for members from the gardening public to be part of this event by placing plants within the garden.

GUEST SPEAKER FOR OCTOBER 2014 MEETING

Our October guest speaker will be long time BOGI member Phil Ryan, who will discuss drought proofing fruit trees, his planting tips and some helpful inventions.

Phil came to notoriety when he shared his experiences in 'Stories from the one Acre Plot' which were published in the BOGI newsletter from April 2006 to December 2008. If you are a new member, borrow these newsletters from the BOGI Library.
