Welcome to the Brisbane Organic Growers Inc. (BOGI) website where you can find details about the club, including how to JOIN the club. There is also information about organic gardening including content tailored to the Brisbane, Queensland area.

Our general meetings are held at the Peace Hall in Windsor on the first Thursday of every month except Janurary.

 


GUEST SPEAKER FOR MARCH 2017 MEETING

Our March speaker will be Helen Cruwys, convenor of BOGI Seeds. Her topic is 'Seed Propagation Hints and Tips - The Way I Do It'. Helen will share with us how and when she plants seeds, saves seeds, stores seeds and much, much more. There will be time for questions at the end of her presentation.

GUEST SPEAKER FOR FEBRUARY 2017 MEETING

Our February speaker will be Jody Wall, BOGI Member and Owner Operator of The Urban Food Company. The Urban Food Company supplies the freshest, organic, high end produce to restaurants and farmers markets all across the Great South East of Queensland.

CHRISTMAS MEETING - DECEMBER 2016

Come and share our final meeting for 2016!

Our December or Christmas meeting will be on Thursday 1st December. Come early, allow some time to browse the stalls, do your Christmas shopping, the BOGI Shop will be open to stock up for the Christmas break, BOGI Seeds and BOGI Books will be open, pay your membership for 2017 or purchase a membership as a gift for a friend. There will be competitions, a game or two, BOGI Clinic, a multi-draw raffle and delectable supper.

GUEST SPEAKER FOR NOVEMBER 2016 MEETING

Our speaker for the November meeting is Louise Davies. Louise participated in a pilot 3 year Cordon Bleu cooking course in 1980. Originally, 60 participants were selected from 600 applicants from New Zealand and Australia. Only 30 finished and Louise passed with 97%.  Subsequently two Cordon Bleu schools were built in Australia, the first in Sydney and the second in Adelaide.
