Fruit Fly Trap

The fruit Fly Traps are used for monitoring male populations of the Queensland fruit fly. The trap contains a wick impregnated with a sex attractant (cue lure) and an insecticide (maldison). Male fruit flies are attracted from up to 500 metres and are killed upon entering the trap.

Suspend traps between waist and head height within the tree canopy, free from twigs and leaves. Replace the wick every three months.
