Community Gardens
Community gardens are a vibrant place to be, particularly if you love growing your own food. Meet others, have fun, get fit, lose weight, share your skills, or learn something new at the various CGs around greater Brisbane.
Below is a list of some of the community gardens which operate around the Brisbane area, with more being formed all the time:

Northey Street City Farm
This is one of the oldest and best community gardens in Brisbane. They have Sunday morning organic markets, hold Permaculture courses, and have a vibrant Edible Landscapes Nursery. - Beelarong Community Farm

Jane Street Community Garden (103 Jane Street, beside Davies Park. Between Montague Road and Riverside Drive, West End)
Volunteers are always welcome. Contact the garden regarding availability of plots for rent and current working bee times.

The BCC website lists all the community gardens within the cities boundaries. -
Moreton Bay Regional Council community gardens
The MBRC, lying north of BCC, is part of greater Brisbane. This website lists all the community gardens in the council region.
As well, the website Australian City Farms & Community Garden Networks tries to keep track of all the community garden throughout Australia, including Queensland and Brisbane.
